After all the networks in Nigeria; Etisalat, Glo and MTN had successfully rolled out their 4G LTE service to their users in 2016, Airtel decided to launch the superfast network 4G LTE smartphone to its users in Nigeria to improve browsing speed of the internet.

The Managing Director, Airtel Nigeria, Mr Segun Ogunsanya, said on Saturday that the telecommunication company partnered with ZTE, a Chinese multinational telecommunications equipment/systems company to launch or roll out 4G (fourth generation) wireless mobile telecommunications technology in Nigeria.

Even in 2012, Airtel was the first telecommunications operator company in Nigeria to complete a successful 4G trial in Lagos.

He said this is in line with the company commitment to explore innovation and lead a mobile internet revolution in Nigeria.

So, if your smartphone supports of compatible with 4G LTE and it’s band, you will be able to see 4G LTE service in your phone while using Airtel network.
