Android 8.0 Oreo Starts Rolling out to Nexus and Pixel Devices

Last Monday, Android 8.0 Oreo was made official, which is the final version of it, started going out to Pixel and Nexus devices enrolled in the Android Beta Program. Even Verizon started rolling out the same build to its Pixel and Pixel XL units it sold.

So, at this point, the rollout is hitting every device that Google’s is in charge of. The rollout had hitten the Pixel C, Pixel XL, Pixel, Nexus 6P, Nexus Player, and Nexus 5X.

If you are tired of waiting for the actual OTA (over the air) rollout, the company has provided the usual Image Factory and OTA Zip files for anyone to download, via here.

However, if you own a supported device and haven’t seen the notification, you can check out via your Settings menu.

    As at when the issue was posted here on the release of Android 8,i had noted that Google devices will be the first to receive any available update and here we now have updates being rolled out for them.

    Still talking about devices getting the Android 8 update, Sony has announced the list of Xperia Smartphones getting Android 8.0 Oreo.
    The update will be available for the underlisted Xperia Smartphones
    Xperia X
    Xperia X Performance
    Xperia XZ
    Xperia X Compact
    Xperia XZ Premium
    Xperia XZs
    Xperia XA1
    Xperia XA1 Ultra
    Xperia Touch and Xperia XA1 Plus
    (Xperia XZ1 & Xperia XZ1 Compact will launch on Android Oreo)
    That said, Sony may add new devices to the above list as the company plans to bring this major update to as many of our devices as possible.
