Default Android Messaging App now updated with Google Duo and Payment Support

Those who use Android will be very familiar with the popular default SMS messaging app named  Android Messages. It’s currently rolling out to all users.

Two new amazing features has been integrated into the app and the app APK size was also reduced.

The first integrated app is the Google Duo which is Android default video calling app and right in the SMS conversation window, there is a video calling icon.


The second integrated app is the Google wallet which is the method of sending and requesting money from friends. 


It was also reported to have a new SMS notification style, in the SMS conversation, it would say “X new message(s)” where X is the number of new messages.

Another feature is the Rich communication services (RCS), this will allow you know when the user is typing and it only support Dual SIM smartphones.
