#DeleteFacebook Campaign: Elon Musk has deleted SpaceX and Tesla’s Facebook pages

Elon Musk, founder of SpaceX and Tesla, removed both of his companies Facebook pages of about 2.6 million followers each, due to the current Facebook data scandal.

After the Brian Acton, Co-founder of WhatsApp tweets that contained hastag #DeleteFacebook. Elon Musk replied asking “What’s Facebook?“, afterward a follower replied him to delete his SpaceX and Tesla’s Facebook pages if “he was the man” and he responded to the challenge by deleting his massive pages proving that “he was really the man“.

Moreover, Elon Musk deleted the Facebook pages because of the Facebook’s data scandal. Over the weekend, it was revealed that Cambridge Analytica – a consulting firm that works on President Donald Trump 2016 US Election campaign, had improperly acquired data from 50 million Facebook users. This has result to backlash from users since then over the disregard of their privacy and government officials demanding answer.

Nevertheless, Elon Musk Tesla and SpaceX pages are still alive on Instagram, which is also owned by Facebook. Who knows if he will also show that “he is the man” by deleting them off.

  1. This data scandal really cause a lot of things, just want them to collaborate with each other and make it sound again. I hope everything is going to resolve soon.
