FG Launches “Wahala Dey” Mobile App For Anti-corruption

Heard of “wahala dey” App? Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) has successfully launched a mobile application called Wahala Dey which is made to aid or help anonymous whistle blower to fight for corruption practices happening within the government agencies and private sectors as well.

Ekpo Nta, chairman of the commission, launched this mobile app in Abuja on February 13, 2017 and it supports Android phones, Blackberry phones and windows phones. It can be downloaded at no cost for users. This is what he said below concerning corruption and to fight it;

“Corruption is a global and cross boarder problem that has far-reaching consequences on nations and societies. Nigeria is not an exception. As we grapple with the challenges of reducing corruption in the polity, we must recognize that this criminal activity thrives on opportunity to commit the act.” He said. 

“We champion the provision of technological solutions to corruption, one of which is the recently launched e-portal pssp.gov.ng for greater transparency and accountability in Nigeria’s ports sector.” He added.

So he also urged the public to join hands that is only in partnership, will corruption be freed from Nigeria. However, you can download the Wahala Dey app by clicking here.
