How to root Tecno L9 Plus running on Android 7 Nougat

Tecno L9 Plus with build number L9Plus-H8011A1-N-170210V20 is powered by a MediaTek MT6580 chipset running on Android 7.0 Nougat. In specifications, the Tecno L9 Plus is powered by a 5000mAh fast charging battery and has a 6 inch Full HD IPS Display. It has 13MP back camera and 5MP front facing camera. How to root Tecno L9 Plus Smartphone

STEP 1: Firstly, dump your firmware in scatter format using Miracle box, see how via here and after that, download SuperSU 2.78 file via here and save it to both SD card and phone memory.

STEP 2: On your PC, create a folder named “PREXBLOG” and copy Preloader.bin from your miracle box backup into the Prexblog folder you created earlier.

STEP 3: Now, download Philz for Tecno L9 Plus via here. Download Philz for Tecno L9Plus-H8011A1-N-170411V289 via here. Download Philz for L9plus-H8011A1-N-170315V248 via here. And lastly, download Philz for Tecno L9plus-H8011A-N-170722V393 via here.

STEP 4: Now, copy the recovery.bin from the Philz folder you downloaded earlier to Prexblog Folder, making Preloader.bin, recovery.bin and scatter file in the Prexblog folder.

STEP 5: Flash the Recovery.bin and Preloader.bin using Miracle Box, see how via here. After that, boot your phone into recovery mode by pressing Volume up + Power button, after flashing.

STEP 6: Use Power button to select and Volume button to navigate in Philz recovery.

STEP 7: Now, select “Install Zip” and navigate to the location of the SuperSU 2.78.zip file on your SD card and select it and wait till flashing is complete.

STEP 8: If you’re prompted to fix root, kindly select No. Reboot normally and confirm your root using Root checker app.
