Messenger Kids app has been launched to protect your kids over unsolicited messages

Facebook has successfully launched “Messenger Kids” app to protect kids over adult contents and unsolicited messages. The app is currently available for Android, iOS and Amazon fire tablets.

Parents have more control to the app as it gives the kids more fun. The app is aimed at 6-12 years old children and lacks in-app purchase and hide options so that parents can have more control over the activities and unsolicited messages of their Kids.

Kid-appropriate stickers like Emojis, GIFs and Frames has been added for Kids to express themselves creatively. One-to-one video calls with AR interactive masks is also available on the app.

The Kids messenger app does not ask for phone numbers or Facebook account. Parents can use their profiles to verify the Kids account for more control over their activities. Moreover, Kids can block and report contacts or inappropriate contents in the app as their parents will be notified.
