OnePlus 5 and 5T smartphones receives Android 8.1 Oreo OTA update

OnePlus has started rolling out Android 8.1 Oreo updates to OnePlus 5 and OnePlus 5T smartphones that is used as a base for Oxygen OS 5.1.0 version.

The update brings the latest android security patch. New optimisations in gaming mode, including power saving and pausing adaptive brightness. Network boost has been added that is prioritized for gaming app in the background. Category tags has been added in search section of app drawer and auto name folders, based on category.

The update size is 766MB. Moreover, the OnePlus 5T will get full-screen gesture support, while the OnePlus 5 will not receive it for now.
