Qualcomm Now Supports Android Oreo (Go Edition)

Normally, Google recently introduced the Android Oreo (Go edition) for entry-level phones. The great American telecommunications equipment company, Qualcomm, announced support for Google’s Android Oreo (Go edition) platform.

Meanwhile, Qualcomm didn’t list what it will be doing in the partnership but merely listed off what Google has done with Android Oreo (Go edition).

Android Oreo (Go edition) will optimize version of mobile apps on playstore and even playstore app, it has a streamlined version of the operating system (OS) designed for low-end hardware with low RAM and storage space. This Android Oreo (Go edition) will improve user experience and is available for phones with 1GB RAM or less.

Nancy Fares, vice president of product management, Qualcomm Technologies, said;

“We are excited to implement Android Oreo (Go edition) within the Qualcomm Snapdragon mobile platform family as it will enable consumers around the world to experience a more robust operating system for lower cost smartphones,

“Android Oreo (Go edition) delivers an optimized Android user experience key for emerging regions where lower bill of materials costs are especially attractive, as well as in established regions for pre-paid and lifeline uses.”

Android Oreo (Go edition) operating system (OS) is expected to ship in early next year, 2018.
