Recently, Android 9 (P) operating system released a feature for “Digital Wellbeing” that will help you curb your smartphone addition as it will track the time you spent on your phone with a breakdown of each apps. It will also notify you of how many times you’ve unlocked your phone.
Now, YouTube – a video sharing platform, has already joined the league by introducing a new feature that will help you spend less time watching video.
Moreover, it doesn’t require Android P to work but just an update with its duty. It’s a simple reminder that can be customized, telling you to take a break from watching videos on the platform.
To checkout, tap on your Profile Icon on YouTube, tap on the upper-right corner dotted lines, tap on “Settings“, select ” General” and go to “Remind me to take a break” option.
And once you hit limit, YouTube will simply remind you to take a break and perform your daily tasks. It won’t close the app or video. It’s all left for you to procrastinate or take a break.
Another YouTube wonderful feature is the “Schedule Digest“. It groups all your notifications and serve them to you in one go at a specific time of the day of your liking. Isn’t it wonderful?
