YouTube new feature called “Reels” are specially and specifically designed for video creators, to enable them post Snapchat-like video stories.
The “stories” feature was popularly designed by Snapchat before Facebook and Instagram copied it. In this case of YouTube video stories won’t necessarily disappear within 24 hours. There is an option to enable users leave it forever.
The video can be up to 30 seconds long. Reels also can include links to longer YouTube videos, and will let creators apply filters as well as add music tracks, text and stickers to the videos.
Currently, the feature is rolling out to those with more than 10,000 subscribers on their YouTube channel. This is definitely a new approach to the 24 hours stories.
