YouTube Will Stop Displaying Annoying 30-second Unskippable Ads

If you do watch YouTube videos, you will know of the 30-second unskippable advertisements that always pop out before you watch some YouTube videos. Yea! It will no more be available in next year, 2018.

In aiming to provide a better experience for online users, Google now realised that consumers hate unskippable ads on YouTube.

This was the official statement from Google;

“As part of that, we’ve decided to stop supporting 30-second unskippable ads as of 2018 and focus instead on formats that work well for both users and advertisers,” said a Google spokesperson.

Meanwhile, Google will be replacing the 30-second unskippable Ads with a 6-second bumper as format that won’t be unskippable as well. Hmm this will be better though.

Some reports says that YouTube is already panicking because Facebook video offering is ever more attractive to their brands by the day.
